Human Resources Director – Multi-Unit Contract Foodservice

Location: Malvern, PA

Full-Time Benefits Eligible

Salary: 95K – 115K


Position Summary


The Human Resources Director provides strategic and operational HR leadership for a multi-unit, multi-state contract foodservice organization serving corporate dining and independent/private school clients. This role requires a dynamic leader who is not only strategic but also hands-on, actively involved in executing HR programs, resolving employee issues, and shaping a high-performance culture.

The HR Director partners with regional and unit leadership to drive talent acquisition goals, learning and developing initiatives, compliance and safety as well as employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition & Staffing

  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting for management and hourly foodservice positions in collaboration with the recruiting team.
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top culinary and hospitality talent for corporate dining and school dining operations.
  • Monitor workforce planning and turnover trends to ensure appropriate staffing levels and pipeline readiness.
  • Lead onboarding, training, and management development programs to strengthen leadership capability across all regions.
  • Partner with operations leaders to ensure ongoing professional development for managers and unit staff.
  • Drive compliance training in areas such as harassment prevention, food safety, and workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage investigations, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution with professionalism and consistency.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect evolving laws and best practices.
  • Support compensation structure and job evaluation processes to maintain equity and competitiveness across locations.
  • Manage HR metrics and reporting, providing insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting across the organization.
  • Lead HR audits and ensure documentation compliance for federal and state reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit, multi-state environment.
  • Experience in contract foodservice, hospitality, or related service industries strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented organization.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
