Wage: $21.00 Per Hour

Some Weekends Required for Catering Events

Brock & Company seeks an experienced Foodservice Receiver/Catering Associate. This site has deliveries of produce, frozen and dry goods, dairy products and assorted other items. This position requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, communication and reading/math comprehension skill.  Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.


Receiver Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip.  Verifies actual  product received against the packaging slips - checks for accuracy and any  discrepancies.  Logs inventory.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; reports any discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor. 
  • Checks product temperatures as needed, initials invoices and distributes products to appropriate areas (dry storage, refrigerator, freezers, etc.).
  • Traces lost shipments and claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
  • Maintains cleanliness of receiving area, including loading dock and trash areas.
  • Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Seeking detail-oriented  individual who is good with numbers and who has excellent organizational & communication skills.

 Catering Job Responsibilities:

  • Light food prep to include sandwich-making, cutting fruit and making salads.
  • Communicate regularly with kitchen supervisor in order to schedule product ordering and staffing levels.
  • Assemble deliveries and orders with accuracy and timely delivery, set-up and breakdown.
  • Develop positive client and customer relationships.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area via supervisor instruction and applicable health, safety and food handling regulations, and provide customer service in a courteous manner at all times
  • Valid Driver's License required.
