Snack Shop/Cafe Attendant -  Full-Time  -  Monday through Friday  -  Private School  -  Benefits


Wage: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour


We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and self-motivated Café Attendant to join our private school community. This individual will run daily operations of the school snack shop and serve as a positive presence for our middle and high school students.  Additionally, as a dining room attendant would share responsibility for maintaining a clean and organized dining room. This includes tables, chairs, trash receptacles, condiments and other dining room services as directed by the supervisor. The above shall be achieved while providing exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful and friendly manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, smoothies)
  • Heat and serve pre-cooked foods using oven, microwave, or warmer
  • Operate cash register and process transactions accurately
  • Restock shelves and refrigerators as needed throughout the day
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
  • Interact positively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff
  • Work independently while managing time and tasks effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining room including chairs, tables, trash receptacles, condiments and other areas determined by the supervisor.  
  • Operation of the following equipment: floor vacuum, brooms, mops, wringers, buckets, sanitation towels and chemicals
  • Comprehension and compliance of both verbal and written directions assigned by the supervisor.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Adhere to client and company protocols related to workplace safety and sanitation standards.
  • Lifting and moving of food, food containers and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one’s own height.
